The characteristics of the solution derive from the association of a phenolic derivative with a quaternary of ammonium with a linear structure, capable of damaging the cell wall and the microbial membrane with consequent loss of proteins from the structural component of the peptidoglycan and alteration of the permeability of the cell wall. same. The action is also carried out on different enzymatic systems within the microbial cell, an action that leads to a degree of protein denaturation that leads to cell lysis. In lipophilic and intermediate viruses, the mechanism of action is substantially similar with damage to the lipid envelope and the protein fraction of the nucleocapsid, reaching the internal constituents.
Spectrum of action
Broad-spectrum microbicide disinfectant, cold active on both Gram positive and Gram negative, acid-resistant bacteria. It is also active against viruses, including lipophilic ones, a group to which HIV, HBV, HCV and others belong. The bactericidal and fungicidal activity of the association has been experimentally demonstrated according to the UNI EN 13697 procedure and with the results obtained with a test simulating the real conditions of use (Experimental reports by Prof. S. Applications and methods of use
BACTISAN WIPE 2000 FP is indicated for the rapid disinfection and cleaning of non-invasive medical devices (class IIA and class I), medical-surgical instruments, biomedical equipment, surfaces, medical beds, ambulances, trolleys, handles, stethoscopes, podiatry materials, dental handpieces. Use between one patient and another is recommended.
1 – Open the package and take out a wipe soaked in disinfectant.
2 – After carrying out the normal preliminary cleaning operations, rub the surface and the instrument, without rinsing or drying. For emergency disinfection, wipe the towel over surfaces and medical devices before use. For the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms (excluding spores), allow the solution to act for 5-15 minutes and rinse with sterile water.
3 – Close the package well after use in order to avoid drying of the wipes.
The use of BACTISAN WIPE 2000 FP wipes does not exempt from the washing protocol or in any way replace the sterilization where necessary. The analyzes performed did not reveal any incompatibility with the membranes of the stethoscope. The product is compatible with most materials. Some Plexiglas and plastics can be sensitive to alcohol. Check in the instruction manual of the medical device vendors before using the wipe. The wipe must not be used on surfaces that come into contact with food. Do not mix with other products. The simultaneous or subsequent use of disinfectants with other cationic components must be avoided.
